It's being reported that Charlie Weis is indeed going to take the offensive coordinator position at the University of Florida.
He will formally announce taking the job on Monday, those same sources report.
He will stay with the Chiefs throughout the playoffs, so fear of him abandoning the Chiefs in their most important time (regarding this season; you can say that he is abandoning the Chiefs in the middle of a very important turning point for the franchise) is not an issue.
If these sources are correct, and there's so many of them that it has to be, then the Chiefs will have to find a new offensive coordinator in the off season.
Weis was the third offensive coordinator in the two seasons since Todd Haley became head coach. It looks like next season, we will find out just how important Weis is to the team. I suspect, very important.
